| Abstract:Zero liquid discharge (ZLD) in papermaking wastewater is a fundamental solution to the industry's water resource crisis and environmental pressures, with its core lying in the achievement of high-level wastewater reuse and resource recovery through technological innovation. This paper focused on membrane separation technology, systematically analyzing its coupling mechanisms and application bottlenecks within a ZLD system for papermaking wastewater. A four-stage technical framework of "Pretreatment-Membrane Separation-Concentrate Treatment-Resource Recovery" was constructed, with a particular emphasis on the applicable conditions and integration strategies of membrane processes such as ultrafiltration/microfiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, membrane distillation, and forward osmosis. |
